At times, I get to photograph people who I have known a very long time but have not seen in a long time... Such was the case with this family. I went to highschool with the mommy of these adorable kids and it was AMAZING to see the familiar traits of someone you knew as a child repeat in their own kids. Sometimes, the resemblance is found not just in looking alike, but also in the mannerism and the way one speaks.
I was told "You have always had your way with the camera"... And right there and then I remembered, the first thing I ever purchased with my own money was a CAMERA :) I always had a camera with me in highschool and even in my year book people wrote "keep that camera handy"... Thank you for reminding me of that!
Here are some of my favorite images of the kiddies, their mommy and their grandma who looks just the way I remember - beautiful and strong :) Mr D is one funny character - typical 3 year old - full of energy, wonder, and curiosity! Love the photos of him with his baby sister Ms M. It was funny to capture how he was trying to copy me when I winked at him! I wish you and your family all the best and thank you for having me photograph the moment when you welcomed a baby girl into your lives :)
