Lasting Memories Captured

Beloved...

This is my first post of 2012 and I am so glad that I am going to share some pictures of this wonderful couple who I am proud to call my very dear friends...  These photos were taken during the vacation that we got to take together this January.

Now, back to the couple...  I love photographing engagements and weddings BUT I think married couples are going to be my new favorite subject.  It is amazing to see a couple who has been married for 17 years, grew up together, had 4 children, built a life and a family together still have sparkle in their eyes when they look at each other... To eveyone who is married, we all know not every day is peaches and cream, often time kids and busy schedules, stress and illnesses pull couples apart.  Not in the case of these two, no matter what the day brings their love and commmitment to each other is inspiring!  I love you guys and wish you a lifetime of happiness and of course many more fun vacations with us :) Oh, and even though only one of you made for a totally willing model, I greatly appreciate the quiet agreeableness of the other...

Oh, and did I mention that this tiny thing of a lady has 4 kids?  Well, she does :)

Baby monkey, baby santa, baby MD...

This adorable cutie pie came in last month for his second round of photos...  We had so much fun... All the outfit changes, the rolls, the dimples, the smiles... ADORABLE...  Or as my daughter likes to say DEEEELISH...

BOYS RULE!!!

I had the pleasure of photographing this family recently and I look forward to watching the baby grow as the newest Pure and Sweet series model.

This amazing family has 3 boys of very different ages - 17, 11, and a baby :)  I found the boys to be so well behaved and patient.  All of them are handsome and they probably will break a few hearts at one point or another...  We got great family portraits and some really funny photos of the boys.  Here are a few of my favorites

A toddler, a dog, and a big park

So, I adore outdoor sessions in the fall - it is my most favorite time of the year - the lush green grass covered with colorful leaves, sun shining, amazing  blue sky...  Add to that an adorable toddler and I am one happy camper. 

This is the second time I photographed this cutie, he is adorable, has a fun personality and loves treats just like his best friend!  Here are a few of my favorte images from the session

Little Lev

This sweet munchkin was just too adorable for words.  Sweet disposition, charisma and cuteness - future heartbreaker.

He enjoyed eating the watermelon the most and I am so happy he had fun with it as one of these images is a big portrait in the dining room of their house now.

Miss Personality

This little diva came in to my studio at the tender age of 10.5 months :)  Full of delightful and funny noises, fiesty and adorable at the same time - she made photographing her a blast.  I am so glad I talked the parents into taking some family shots - mommy and daddy were very happy they listened to me.  Miss Personality also took some time to show me just how much she loves her older brother :)  It started nice and gentle but then she got a chance to sit on her brother's back and she discovered his ears....  Hehehe is all I can say :)  Anyways, here is the showcase...

Two sweet babies

I was super excited about this session - newborn twins - a BOY and GIRL.  The thought of all that cuteness, togetherness, and purity blocked away the thoughts  of double the work!  I made new hats just to use in the photos (YES, for those of you that don't know yet ALL of the handmade photo props are hand made my me and my office manager). I was determined to make the images work and I think it was a total sucess - BUT I will let you be the judges.  This is going to be a LARGE showcase, they were so content sleeping together that at times we all caught ourselves watching them breathe in unison :)

two sweet babies with cheeks of rose.
Born on the same day, two gifts from above,
lives entwined, two babies to love...

Last Summer Day

I just love those September days where summer peaks in for just a little goodbye.  That was the case on the morning of the day we had a session with the wonderful Mr B. and his parents.  The weather said it was going to rain that day, but in the sun shined bright and we decided to go through with the scheduled photo session :)  Toddlers are so much fun - they are still babies trying to be independent and yet they still cling onto parents everytime they are unsure of what will happen next.  Mr. B ran around, explored with running towards the water and touching the sand, had fun flying in the hands of his parents and made me laugh more then once during the session. 

This was our second session together and one of mommy's main goals was to get a beach portrait that can become a family heirloom :) Ahhh, how love it when my clients say "this is exactly what I wanted", especially when they are talking about MY favorite image.  And so, I start my showcase with the family portrait and then some other fun images captured

Cat in the Hat

I think that out of all the kids themed parties this one is one of my all time favorites - KIDS love the books, its fun, colorful, rhymes and there is simply to the cat in the hat and thing one and thing two...  SO, when this mommy called me months ago to schedule the photoshoot and discuss baby's party I immediately said CAT IN THE HAT - I started telling her all the things we can do during the photoshoot and mommy was sold!  We had LOADS of fun and the images turned out great - here is a showcase of some of my favorites - of course we did more then just the theme of the party as mommy had tons of cute ideas.  Oh, and I promise party clip coming soon!
